Director, Blood Disorders and Cell Therapies Center
University of Colorado Hospital

Dr. Smith serves as the program Director of the Blood Cancer & BMT Program at the University of Colorado, Associate Division Head for Clinical Affairs in the Division of Hematology, and is an Associate Professor of Medicine. His research has been devoted to the advancement of care for patients with blood cancers through characterizing and manipulating the biology of normal, and more recently, malignant hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Dr. Smith has been published in nearly 100 articles and 20 book chapters/reviews.
