Co-Director, Surgical Services, The Neuroendocrine Institute, Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital

Dr. Liu is an internationally-recognized neuroendocrine tumor surgeon who is responsible for establishing the first clinical trial of the Gallium 68/Pet Scanto diagnose neuroendocrine tumors in the United States at Vanderbilt University. He has received numerous awards for innovative work, including the National Cancer Institute Paul Calabresi Award for Clinical Oncology 2010-2012.

In 2015, Dr. Liu partnered with oncologist and Rocky Mountain Oncology Society (RMOS) Board Member Allen Cohn, MD, at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers to launch The Neuroendocrine Institute at RMCC.

Dr. Liu is also the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Advisor of the Healing Net Foundation—a nonprofit dedicated to providing education about neuroendocrine cancers to the medical community and advancing excellence in neuroendocrine patient care.

Director, Blood Disorders and Cell Therapies Center
University of Colorado Hospital

Dr. Smith serves as the program Director of the Blood Cancer & BMT Program at the University of Colorado, Associate Division Head for Clinical Affairs in the Division of Hematology, and is an Associate Professor of Medicine. His research has been devoted to the advancement of care for patients with blood cancers through characterizing and manipulating the biology of normal, and more recently, malignant hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Dr. Smith has been published in nearly 100 articles and 20 book chapters/reviews.
