The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a global leader in the fight against cancer. It funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, provides free information and support services, and is the voice for all patients with blood cancer who are seeking access to quality, affordable, coordinated care.

LLS offers the following financial assistance programs to help individuals with blood cancer:

  • Co-Pay Assistance Program

  • Patient Aid Program.

LLS Co-Pay Assistance Program

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Co-Pay Assistance Program offers financial help toward:

  • Medical insurance premiums

  • Treatment-related co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance (for expenses covered by the program)

  • Prescription medication related to prescribed treatment.

LLS can pay a healthcare provider directly or reimburse patients for payments already made. Patients have complete freedom to choose doctors, providers, suppliers, insurance companies, and treatment-related medications. They can make changes to these at any time without affecting their continued eligibility.

To be eligible for co-pay assistance, patients must:

  • Have a household income at or below 600 percent of the United States federal poverty guidelines as adjusted by the cost of living index

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. territory

  • Have medical insurance

  • Have a blood cancer diagnosis confirmed by a doctor.

    • Be in active treatment, scheduled to begin treatment, or is being monitored by their doctor.

Approved patients must submit a claim for a covered expense every 90 days to keep their accounts active.

Program continuation is dependent on the availability of funds, and the program could be modified or discontinued at any time if funding is limited or no longer available.

LLS Patient Aid Program

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Patient Aid Program provides financial assistance to patients with blood cancer. Eligible patients will receive a one-time $100 stipend to help offset non-medical expenses like transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc. There are no income criteria to qualify for this program; patients can be insured or uninsured.

Program continuation is dependent on the availability of funds, and the program could be modified or discontinued at any time if funding is limited or no longer available.

To be eligible, patients must:

  • Reside in the United States or or U.S. territories at the time of their application

  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of blood cancer, be in active treatment, scheduled to begin treatment, or in follow-up care

  • Have not received a Patient Aid Program award in the past.

Patients who do not have a Social Security number or Alien ID number should call 877.557.2672 to apply. Please note that these patients will be required to submit documentation to verify identity.
