Kathryn Gold, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist with a focus on lung and head and neck malignancies. Dr. Gold is currently a professor at the University of California San Diego Moores Cancer Center and the vice chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology. Her research is focused on targeted therapies and immunotherapies for lung and head and neck cancers. She is also the medical director for Cancer Quality at Moores Cancer Center and has been involved in several institutional quality improvement efforts. 

Dr. Gold is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research. She serves on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Investigator Steering Committee and NCCN Small Cell Lung Cancer Panel.

Dr. Gold obtained her medical degree from Washington University in St Louis. She completed her internal medicine residency and medical oncology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, respectively.
