Aims & Scope

Oncology Issues is the official journal of the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). As one of the only non-clinical, programmatic journals covering cancer, Oncology Issues provides “how-to” articles for the entire multidisciplinary oncology care team on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Hospital and physician alignment strategies
  • Quality & performance improvement initiatives
  • Staffing models
  • Cancer service line strategic planning
  • Development & implementation of supportive care services
  • Cancer & population-based healthcare initiatives
  • Precision medicine & new treatment modalities, such as immunotherapy
  • Community outreach and education efforts

Journal content addresses issues of interest to all members of the multidisciplinary cancer care team, including medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, cancer program administrators and medical directors, senior hospital executives, practice managers, pharmacists, oncology nurses, radiation therapists, social workers, nurse navigators, financial advocates, cancer program data managers, and coders and billers.

Oncology Issues receives all manuscript submissions electronically via its Editorial Manager site located at editorialmanager.com/oncolissues. Editorial Manager allows for rapid submission of original and revised manuscripts, and facilitates the review process and internal communication between authors, editors, and reviewers via a web-based platform.
