ROCKVILLE, Md. – The Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC) today announced that its Board of Trustees recently approved the addition of three state society Chapter Members, expanding ACCC’s network to 32 Chapters, and adding hundreds of oncology private practices to its ranks. As the nation’s leading advocacy and education organization for the multidisciplinary cancer care team, the addition of these new Chapter Members reinforces ACCC’s efforts to ensure the highest quality of cancer care delivery in the U.S.
Dedicated to serving the needs of oncology providers in their states, ACCC’s newest chapter members are: ASCOM (Association of South Carolina Oncology Managers), GASCO (Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology), and POHMS (Premier Oncology Hematology Management Society).
"As ACCC continues to grow, we are proud to welcome ASCOM, GASCO, and POHMS, as state society Chapter Members," said ACCC President Becky L. DeKay, MBA. "Our shared commitment to advancing excellence in cancer care will create great synergy, and these new chapter members reflect the diversity of our membership. We are particularly excited about the physician practices that are joining, as our unique work on behalf of our practice members is a core strength of our organization."
As ACCC Chapter Members, ASCOM, GASCO, and POHMS members are connected to ACCC’s network of 20,000 cancer care professionals from 1,900 hospitals and practices nationwide. It is estimated that 60% of cancer patients in the U.S. are treated by a member of ACCC.

POHMS currently represents approximately 120 oncology practices throughout Pennsylvania, in addition to Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Tennessee, and Connecticut. Our members are community-based oncologists, administrators, managers, clinical personnel, coding specialists and other interested parties in the hematology oncology industry.
