Association of Community Cancer Centers Releases Six Abstracts at ASCO Annual Meeting

Rockville, MD – The Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) today announced that six abstracts that will be showcased at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting June 3-7, 2022, addressing some of the current barriers and disparities in comprehensive cancer care.

Research topics include screening for cancer clinical trials, generating peer-to-peer engagement on the evolving standards of care for advanced HER2+ breast cancer, building a consortium to advance genetic counseling and testing, mitigating disparities in cancer care, addressing burnout, and monitoring variations in health care costs for patients with bladder cancer.

This year's level of collaboration within our professional community has been nothing short of inspiring. These diverse projects will reach and truly impact many different facets of cancer care, reflecting the deep commitment and passion of our membership,” said Dr. David R. Penberthy, Radiation Oncologist and President of ACCC.
