On May 23, Fox Chase Cancer Center was honored with the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania's (HAP) 2019 HAP Achievement Award for their efforts to improve patient discharge planning and care transition management. Congratulations to this longtime ACCC Cancer Program Member!
UPMC Hillman Cancer Center announced that Jason Luke, MD, FACP, will become director of the new Cancer Immunotherapeutics Center, overseeing all early-phase immunotherapy studies. Dr. Luke will also serve as associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

On May 13, the Inova Schar Cancer Institute opened the doors of its new facility in Fairfax to patients for the first time. The 438,000-square-foot facility was retrofitted from the former headquarters of Exxon Mobil and cost $150 million to construct.
In partnership with AdventHealth, Moffitt Cancer Center announced plans to open an outpatient cancer center in Wesley Chapel, expanding the organization's footprint in the Tampa Bay region. The new center will be designed to provide medical and radiation oncology services and accommodate 20 exam rooms, 22 infusion stations, and two linear accelerators.
