Levine Cancer Institute's mobile CT lung cancer screening unit.

At the 2019 ASCO Annual Meeting, Levine Cancer Institute reported that their first-of-its-kind mobile CT unit improved lung cancer screening rates for underserved patients in rural areas. A 2017 ACCC Innovator Award winner, Levine Cancer Institute's mobile CT unit was certified by the Lung Cancer Alliance as a "Screening Center of Excellence," and the program is currently constructing a second mobile unit.
The University of Colorado Cancer Center announced that it has enrolled the first patient in a first-in-human phase 1 clinical trial testing a novel investigational anti-cancer agent for patients with advanced solid tumors. This trial is offered exclusively at CU Cancer Center to patients for whom no standard therapy exists.
Congratulations to Wilmot Cancer Institute! On July 11, the Rochester cancer center announced that it had received more than $20,000 in donations for its Wilmot Warrior Walk, a fundraising event for cancer research and survivorship care. The program aims to raise $200,000 by September 8.
