Jodi Shaw, LSW, CCM, OSW-C, APHSW-C, is the oncology social worker for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and one of two patient care coordinators for the Medical Aid in Dying option at Kaiser Permanente Oncology Clinic in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has worked with patients with life-threatening illnesses for 19 years, first at the Hawaii Medical Service Association (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) as a palliative care coordinator and case manager, then since 2008 at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii as a palliative care social worker in the home, inpatient, and clinic settings before becoming Kaiser Hawaii’s first oncology social worker in 2010.
Ms. Shaw received her BA in Asian American Studies at the University of Washington, her MSW degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is board-certified in oncology social work and advanced hospice and palliative social work.
