Katie Ormsby is a Registered Nurse (RN) with over 14 years of experience in medical-surgical and orthopedic nursing, management, quality, and most recently as the Prior Authorization RN for Outpatient Infusion at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Within the last year, Katie has decreased the initial denial rate for outpatient infusions by over 50% by obtaining authorizations in a timely manner, working collaboratively with Nurses and Pharmacists, and by developing a system of verification of authorizations in place. Katie is currently earning a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration through Capella University.
