Margaret (Peg) O'Grady, RN, MSN, OCN, FAAMA is the administrative director of the oncology service line at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania. She oversees ambulatory care teams in a free-standing outpatient oncology facility, managing radiation, medical oncology, surgical oncology, support services, and cancer registry. Her work has enhanced the research enterprise with disease specific programming and helped to build a robust research relationship with the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion - Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center. Her research interests include Six Sigma strategies for health outcomes research, quality metrics development, assessing research program infrastructure, developing ambulatory care programs, transition of care, and navigation, and she has been published in breast and colorectal navigation processes.
Ms. O’Grady was the former Director of Nursing for the Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center Medical Oncology division. Prior to this, she was the Senior Director of Fox Chase Partners Program for the Fox Cancer Center, the first cancer center network in the United States, supporting the development of 30+ institution consortium of cancer centers. She is the Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Cancer Advisory Board to the Governor of Pennsylvania and served as president of the Pennsylvania Society of Oncology and Hematology, the state-wide American Society of Clinical Oncology group, and the American Academy of Medical Administrators.
Ms. O’Grady earned her nursing degree from Holy Family University, a master’s degree in nursing and business administration from La Salle University, and has completed the Six Sigma certificate program at Villanova University. She is oncology nursing certified by the Oncology Nursing Society.
