Steven L. Allen, MD, FACP, is professor of medicine at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine. He is associate chief in the division of hematology, department of medicine, and attending physician in the division of medical oncology/hematology at Monter Cancer Center, North Shore-LIJ Health System.
Dr. Allen is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. Among his many professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the International Academy of Clinical and Applied Thrombosis/Hemostasis. Dr. Allen has worked on many research projects and published numerous reports, book chapters, reviews, and abstracts. He is actively involved in correlative and translational research and has been the principal investigator for several phase I and II drug trials.
