As the ACCC Financial Advocacy Network engages key stakeholders to update its Financial Advocacy Services Guidelines using a collaborative, consensus-based process, gaining buy-in across the oncology community at-large (e.g., the multidisciplinary care team, administrators, payers, and other organizations) is necessary to ensuring positive financial health for all patients with cancer no matter where they are receiving treatment.

Guest:
Wendi Waugh, BS, RT(R)(T), CMD, CTR
Administrative Director of Cancer Services & Ambulatory Infusion
Southern Ohio Medical Center, SOMC Cancer Center

"I know the guidelines aren’t officially released, but—sneak peek—one of the recommendations in the guidelines is that you’re going to meet with the patient. While that sounds rudimentary, not everybody does it. So [the guidelines] really provide a framework for what you need to do and when you need to do it.”

Please note the Financial Advocacy Services Guidelines will be made available fall 2022.
