Advisory Committee

Keri R. Maher, DO, MS, is the Director of the Acute Leukemia Program at the Massey Cancer Center, and Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Maher is also affiliated with Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.

Dr. Maher has a research focus on the clinical impact of social determinants of health, including comorbidities, financial/insurance obstacles, transportation barriers, and inadequate caregiver support, and the ways in which they contribute to disparities and inequities in treatment for patients with acute myeloid leukemia.

Dr. Maher completed her DO at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, and her residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ.
