Founded in 1990, the Tennessee Oncology Practice Society (TOPS) is the largest oncology professional organization in the state. TOPS comprises a powerful community of oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary care providers involved in the treatment of patients with cancer.
TOPS is one of 21 State Chapter Members managed by the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) and is a State Affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Our members receive valuable educational content and innovative resources designed to keep them ahead of the local and national challenges and trends directly impacting the high-quality care their patients deserve.
We collaborate with internal and external organizations to support our mission of improving patient outcomes and the treatment of cancer in the State of Tennessee.
TOPS has been very involved in state level legislative efforts that impact oncology providers, giving a voice to providers across Tennessee on issues that affect them directly. TOPS has also driven networking and membership engagement both within the state and through national programs where we can learn from other state societies on how they are dealing with similar issues that we currently face.
