Who are we?

The Hawaii Society of Clinical Oncology (HSCO) is a diverse community of oncology professionals whose mission is to be identified as the voice of Hawaii's oncologists, promote high-quality oncology care through patient advocacy, continuing education, multidisciplinary engagement, and participation in the public forum. As the oncology society in Hawaii, we strive to provide our members with innovative resources to help them stay ahead of the shifting healthcare landscape and challenges that directly impact the high-quality care their patients deserve.

We are a Chapter Member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers and a State Affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

To carry out our mission, we strive to:

  • Advance quality oncology care and access across Hawaii.
  • Provide a forum for all physicians interested in oncology to share their common concerns.
  • Act as a vehicle for discussion of oncology practice, continuing education and access to quality oncology care issues.

In order to carry out these interests, our objectives are to:

  • Identify issues of concern to the membership.
  • Promote grassroots advocacy by developing relationships with other oncology interested groups.
  • Provide a forum for discussion on clinical trials legislation and outcomes research.
  • Monitor and respond to appropriate legislative and regulatory concerns of the membership
  • Provide continuing education dinners for membership.
  • Provide value to the membership.
  • Enhance communication with the membership.
