Founded in 2017, the Empire State Hematology & Oncology Society (ESHOS) is the largest oncology professional organization in New York. Formally known as the New York State Society of Medical Oncologists & Hematologists, ESHOS unifies the educational needs of cancer care professionals from upstate to downstate, and brings together the multidisciplinary membership of the Hematology-Oncology Managers of New York and Upstate New York Society of Medical Oncology and Hematology.
ESHOS is one of 21 State Chapter Members managed by the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) and is a State Affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Our members receive valuable educational content and innovative resources designed to keep them ahead of the local and national challenges and trends directly impacting the high-quality care their patients deserve.
We collaborate with internal and external organizations to support our mission of improving patient outcomes and the treatment of cancer in the State of New York.
ESHOS is the only organization advocating for the concerns, interests, and welfare of all members of the hematology and medical oncology community in the Empire State. ESHOS has succeeded in bridging the upstate and downstate divide, uniting private practice and full-time professionals.
