IOS Cares Program

The Iowa Oncology Society’s mission is to improve patient outcomes and the treatment of cancer in Iowa. The IOS Cares Program is an award program designed to assist Iowa charities that assist in cancer care delivery. IOS looks to partner with allied organizations to support their vital work. Award requests can be made up to $10,000.

Award Guidelines

To be eligible for the IOS Cares Program, an organization must be:

  •  A 501c(3) organization with a valid W9 form
  • Located and operate in the state of Iowa
  • Aligned with the mission of the Iowa Oncology Society
  • Willing to provide a breakdown of how the grant funds will be used

Award Application Process


If your organization wishes to apply for an IOS Cares Award, please fill out following form:

Applications will be open from May 15 through July 31, with applicants finding out by August 15 if they have received the award.

Upon receipt, staff will contact the contact person listed on the application. The request will be reviewed by staff and the IOS Board, and approval will be emailed to the organization.

Award Reporting


IOS wants to hear how the grants used have positively impacted cancer care in Iowa. IOS asks that once per year, the grantee will provide either a verbal or written report to the IOS Board discussing the impact of the award.
