ACCC's Oncology Drug Reference GuideOncology Drug Reference Guide is a practical tool to help the multidisciplinary team navigate the increasingly complex area of drug information. The Oncology Drug Reference Guide is a convenient source of information on the drugs commonly used to treat cancer.
The Oncology Drug Reference Guide lists cancer-related drugs paid under Part B of the Medicare program in two sections. The first lists drugs that have Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes in the oncology range (J8500 through J9600), as well as any drug newly approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating cancer that has yet to have been assigned a HCPCS code. The second section of the guide focuses on "Part B" supportive care drugs commonly used in the oncology setting (but does not yet include pain medications or drugs used to treat infections).
Each drug is presented by HCPCS code, generic name, brand name, billing unit, and manufacturer contact information. Average sales prices (ASPs) for all currently marketed drugs that have HCPCS billing codes in the oncology range, or that have been approved by the FDA for treating cancer, are included. Manufacturers are identified for each brand name drug for which there is no generic equivalent. Contact information is included for both the reimbursement and medical affairs departments for easy reference if users want to request the latest evidence as well as compendia and journal reprints.
Quarterly updates will be available here on ACCC's website.
