Welcome to the West Virginia Oncology Society
WVOS is a vibrant organization based on strong local roots.
Our mission is to engender and promote improvements in patient care, education, clinical trial accrual, and oncology-related economic and legislative issues.
To that end, we are focused on several efforts to improve cancer care in West Virginia.
- WVOS has launched the West Virginia Cancer Clinical Trials Network, to help ensure access to cancer clinical trials for all West Virginians.
- WVOS is engaged in advocacy efforts with Medicare, managed care companies, and state and federal policy makers to address such issues as drug shortages, reimbursement and practice management, and off-label drug use.
- WVOS hosts educational programs for WVOS members to expand their knowledge of issues related to the practice of oncology.
As the face of oncology changes, we want to work cooperatively with all oncology practices that encounter the same challenges in their day-to-day work. Join our organization today!
