ACCC Membership: Cancer Program Membership
ACCC members look to us to lead the charge against policies that threaten quality cancer care. More than 650 medical centers, hospitals, oncology practices, and cancer programs, including many of the nation's largest and most prestigious institutions, are ACCC members. And the number of ACCC members continues to increase each year, a clear recognition of the benefits to membership and to the significant dominance of oncology.

Cancer Program Membership Benefits:
ACCC can help you maximize your resources. Armed with information on strategies for cost-effective cancer delivery, oncology critical pathways, and establishing relationships with managed care organizations, you will be better po sitioned to develop and streamline services, market your program, and keep costs in check.
- Access to the most up to date public policy and advocacy issues affecting the oncology team and its patients. Institution/Physician Group Practice members receive timely legislative updates and a weekly email newsletter.
- Institution/Physician Group Practice members receive the Association's bimonthly journal, Oncology Issues, as well as its Supplements, and ACCC's quarterly Compendia-Based Drug Bulletin.
- Each institution and physician group practice is featured on ACCC's Internet web site under the Find a Cancer Center section, with a link directly to its own web site.
- Each institution and physician group practice is invited to join ACCCExchange–a member listserv for benchmarking your program and resources as well as gaining solutions to practical concerns.
- Access to ACCC’s Member’s Only website, which includes:

- Network with cancer care experts at ACCC national meetings and receive discounted registration fees. Expanded our annual meeting offerings, giving attendees valuable updates on practice and hospital economics.
- Committees: we have thirteen committees that support membership. They are open to all members, and range from planning the meetings, providing articles from experts in Oncology Issues, select known award winners to attend our meetings, work with Hill and CMS to give voice of ACCC member concerns, work with other cancer advocacy groups and review the policies and procedures that govern the association.
Cancer Program Membership Criteria:
- Applicant must have or participate in a multidisciplinary cancer committee.
- A center or program must diagnose and/or treat a minimum of 100 cancer patients per year.
- Applicant must have or be affiliated with at least one Board Certified Medical Oncologist, or
- Applicant must have or be affiliated with at least one Board Certified Radiation Oncologist, or
- Applicant must have the availability of a general surgeon or a specialty surgeon with an interest in cancer.
- Acceptance of ACCC Hold Harmless Agreement.
- Applicant must have at least one nurse with certification as an oncology-certified nurse (OCN) or who has been specifically trained in the care of the oncology patients.
- Applicant must provide social work services for oncology patients.
