Olalekan “Lekan” Ajayi, PharmD, MBA, FACCC, is Chief Operating Officer for Highlands Oncology Group, P.A. In this role, Dr. Ajayi oversees the deployment of strategic initiatives into operational goals for all organizational service lines, including oncology. Dr. Ajayi currently serves on the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) Board of Trustees as the secretary.

Dr. Ajayi is passionate about leadership development and building high-performance teams through the application of operational excellence principles. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.

In addition, Melody provides guidance on pharmacy clean-room design, ensuring that the pharmacy is in compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Melody currently serves as pharmacist liaison to the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) Board of Directors.

Steven D'Amato, BSPharm, BCOP, is the Executive Director and clinical pharmacy specialist at New England Cancer Specialists in Scarborough, Maine. He is a clinical associate professor at the University of Tufts College of Medicine. He is a member of ASCO, ACCP, ACCC, and HOPA.

A member of the Maine Medical Center Institutional Review Board in Portland, Maine, Mr. D’Amato has 30 years of experience in clinical oncology in both the hospital and private practice settings. He has extensive knowledge of EMR implementation, utilization, and practice management.

He has lectured extensively on pain management, end-of-life care, and oncology practice. He is a board member of the Community Cancer Center in South Portland, Maine, a non-profit organization providing education and support to cancer patients.

He is a past President of the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC), and is the ACCC Delegate Representative for New England Cancer Specialists. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, Mass.

Danielle Duy has 30 years of pharmacy experience. She worked more than two decades as a Pharmacy Technician in retail and long-term care pharmacies. Currently, Ms. Duy holds the position of Pharmacy Access Specialist at SSM Health Cancer Care. As a Pharmacy Access Specialist at SSM, Ms. Duy helps patients navigate financial barriers to acquire medications. Her special interests include improving workflows, patient experience, and customer service. She is active in the Association of Community Cancer Centers Financial Advocacy Network.

Jorge J. García, PharmD, MS, MHA, MBA, FACHE, FACCC,  serves as an assistant vice president at Baptist Health South Florida with responsibility for system-wide oncology pharmacy services primarily at the Miami Cancer Institute, the Lynn Cancer Institute, and inpatient oncology pharmacy services at several acute hospitals.

Dr. García has pioneered pharmacy charge integrity and revenue management in the health-system setting and is a thought leader and national speaker in this area, as well as in the areas of alternative payment models, biosimilars, and value-based oncology care. Dr. García leads advocacy efforts at the national level to promote evaluation of safe and effective use of biosimilars, along with stakeholder engagement to support a more just and sustainable biosimilar pharmacoeconomics model.

Dr. García obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy and MBA from Nova Southeastern University in 2010. He then transitioned to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to pursue an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 & PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency and a Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration. He also completed an MHA from Florida Atlantic University. Dr. García is a board member at the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO), a recipient of the FLASCO 2018 Above and Beyond Award, and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Hajjar serves as the program director for the Jefferson College of Pharmacy Population Health Pharmacy program. She also provides clinical services to the Jefferson Family and Community Medicine Senior Center Practice and the Kimmel Cancer Center Senior Adult Oncology and Outpatient Supportive Care clinics. Dr. Hajjar has published a variety of peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on polypharmacy in elderly patients and geriatric pharmacotherapy issues. She is a past recipient of the Jefferson College of Pharmacy AACP Teacher of the Year Award, Dean’s Faculty Achievement Award, and the Thomas Jefferson University Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award.

Dr. Hajjar earned her PharmD at Duquesne University and then completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. She went on to complete a geriatric pharmacy specialty residency at the Minneapolis Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, followed by a geriatric pharmacotherapy-epidemiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy.

Kirollos Hanna, PharmD, BCPS, BCOP, is the Director of Pharmacy at Minnesota Oncology and an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Hanna also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology (JADPRO).

Dr. Hanna’s research interests are focused on B-cell malignancies and genitourinary cancers. He has published over a dozen peer-reviewed manuscripts in various journals including Pharmacotherapy, AJHP, Drugs, JOPP, AJMC and JHOP.

Dr. Hanna is board certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in Oncology Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Florida A&M University, completed his general residency at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN and his oncology residency at St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise, ID.

Sandeep Parsad, PharmD, MBA, BCOP, is the assistant director of pharmacy at the University of Chicago Medicine. She is the director of the PGY2 oncology pharmacy residency program, co-chair of the Oncology Drug Safety Committee, and oversees hematology/oncology and investigational drug services. 

Dr. Parsad has a strong interest in stem cell transplantation, hematologic malignancies, value-based payment models, and oncology quality initiatives.

Daniel Zlott, PharmD, BCOP is the Senior Vice President of Education and Business Development at the American Pharmacists Association. Prior to joining APhA he worked as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with the U.S. National Cancer Institute’s Immunotherapy, Surgery, Endocrine Oncology, and Thoracic/GI Malignancy Branches at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). He was part of the team that developed the first Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell therapy given to treat B-cell cancers.

He was also the Director of the NIH PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program and a clinical investigator on more than 40 NCI-sponsored clinical trials, examining new and innovative ways to treat cancer. Dr. Zlott has served two terms on the Board of Trustees of the American Pharmacists Association, and has also chaired numerous committees with the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association.

He is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco and completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency there before moving to the NIH, where he completed his PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency.
