The North Carolina Oncology Association (NCOA) is committed to providing physicians and their patients with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of paying for cancer treatment. Below is a library of resources provided by NCOA and the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) to help the multidisciplinary cancer team integrate financial health practices and help patients gain access to high-quality care.
The NCOA Advocacy Day will begin with breakfast at the North Carolina Medical Society and a briefing on the key health policy topics being debated in Raleigh. Attendees will walk to the North Carolina General Assembly, where we'll discuss NCOA policy priorities with local legislators, chairs of key health committees, and representatives of the Executive Branch (including representatives from the Governor’s Office and/or NC Medicaid).
There will be the opportunity to attend a Health or Insurance Committee hearing (if scheduled). A debrief over lunch with NCOA leadership and staff will follow, and those who are interested may stay after lunch to attend a session of the full North Carolina House or Senate.
If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Dreabit, Executive Director.
