Riverside Health System (RHS) is a not-for-profit, community health system comprised of 4 acute care hospitals, one behavioral health hospital, two specialty hospitals, six nursing home facilities and three retirement communities. With more than 600 clinical providers and a team of more than 9,500 members, we cover 8,000 square miles in Coastal Virginia.
The Riverside Cancer Network is comprised of subspecialties in medical oncology, radiation oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, surgical oncology (including GI, GYN oncology, neuro-oncology, colorectal, breast, and other surgical subspecialties), radiology, including interventional radiology, pathology, residency, and research, across 9 cancer centers and 4 hospitals in an 8,000 square mile area.
The Oncology Medical Director will provide leadership and direction, as part of the RHS clinical and administrative leadership dyad, where physician and AVP work collaboratively to advance quality, service, and growth within the oncology division and with integrated delivery system colleagues. The oncology medical director/AVP leadership team and physicians will work with RHS leadership to advance cancer care and reduce the burden of cancer for citizens across the mid-Atlantic Region of Virginia.
