Indiana University Health (IU Health) Southern Indiana Physicians announce an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished cancer physician and recognized leader to serve as Medical Director for their Regional Oncology Service Line. The Medical Director will provide the medical leadership and expertise to advance the clinical, financial, operational, and strategic goals for the oncology service line. Located in Bloomington, Indiana, IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians provide services to 500,000 patients in 11 counties in South Central Indiana and support three hospitals, IU Health Bloomington Hospital, IU Health Bedford Hospital, IU Health Paoli Hospital and one ambulatory care center, IU Health Morgan.

The successful candidate will be a highly respected oncologist with a track record of leadership success within an oncology service line or regional cancer program. A collaborative leadership style and a proven track record of programmatic development are essential as is excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to align all stakeholders to a common vision and goal. An MD, DO or MD/PhD, current board certification in an oncology specialty and eligibility for an Indiana medical license are required. An advanced degree in business, public health or health care administration is preferred.
