Director, Oncology Support Services, CARTI, Little Rock, AR

Job Summary:

Facilitates planning, development and implementation of strategic patient support services for CARTI. Serves as liaison between CARTI, the medical staff, supporting departments and community resources.

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Directs operations for assigned support services including: social work, genetic counseling, dietitian, speech language pathology, transportation, appearance center, contract wellness services and community outreach.
  2. Identifies the needs of patients served by the assigned function and develops goals/objectives/initiatives to resolve needs.
  3. Ensures that all assigned departments, services and programs are well integrated, efficient and patient focused.
  4. Actively leads and/or participates in planning groups/committees.
  5. Develops and submits departmental/functional capital and/or operating budgets and is accountable for budget performance.
  6. Determines human resource needs of the support services division and develops plans to recruit, train and retain adequate talent.
  7. Develops and implements policies and procedures to guide and support the provision of services and establishes methods to track departmental performance.
  8. Actively leads community relations and outreach activities for the support services line.

Education, Certification, Licensure, Registration

  • Master’s Degree in related field (MBA, MHA, MSN, MSW)

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Prior oncology experience preferred
  • At least five years of supervisory or management capacity (required)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Active license, if appropriate

  • Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech Language Pathology, Genetic Counselors, Oral Oncolytics, Transportation, Contract Wellness Services, Appearance Center
