Henson Cancer Institute. This is an exciting opportunity for an established physician executive to execute the Institute's strategic and operational goals, objectives and standards of clinical performance.
TidalHealth's Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute offers the most established and comprehensive cancer treatment services on the Eastern Shore. Treating more than 1,600 cancer patients across multiple sites, patients benefit from the latest innovations in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. The Institute is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as an Integrated Network Cancer Program, and is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and the American College of Radiology. Additionally, the Institute is the exclusive place in the region to access clinical trials through the Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Network.
The Institute's Associate VP & Chief is an integral and significant contributor to the TidalHealth Leadership Team. The Associate VP & Chief is responsible for the leadership, development, and performance of the cancer service line strategic objectives and vision. This individual is accountable for clinical, financial, and vital business development strategies that will encompass plans for growth of cancer services, in addition to building physician relationships, patient experience, and specialized/focused care.
The Associate VP & Chief will take the lead in developing the vision and strategy to grow TidalHealth Cancer Services market share. He/she will work with physicians and staff as a key community liaison to further develop a program and "brand" as a healthcare facility that offers the highest quality of care with the best possible outcomes. The Associate VP & Chief will be an experienced, proven healthcare system leader. This person will be experienced in leading and implementing innovative quality, safety and performance improvement initiatives to achieve superior clinical quality, efficient operations and favorable financial outcomes with high satisfaction levels for patients and staff. Leadership style of this individual will be proactive, results oriented, and show a history of achieving positive outcomes in changing environments.
This individual will be a physician with appropriate board certification in Medical Oncology and will demonstrate progressive leadership experience, while having a history of building and integrating successful multidisciplinary cancer programs.
