  January 1, 2019

2018-2019 IO Publication ThumbnailAs immunotherapy expands more deeply into community oncology practice, so too does the need for detailed, practical insights on selecting and delivering therapy, recognizing and managing immune-related toxicities, and coordinating care across a diverse range of specialties. This publication describes how the ACCC IO Institute continues to meet the evolving needs of the multidisciplinary cancer team and other interdisciplinary providers who may be involved in caring for patients treated with immunotherapies for cancer.

This report offers all members of the cancer care team—as well as allied care providers such as emergency room clinicians, primary care physicians, pulmonologists, endocrinologists, radiologists, gastroenterologists—a concise view of ACCC IO Institute resources, education, and next steps in supporting integration of immunotherapy into practice.

In the 2018-2019 report you'll find:

  • New resources and education developed through the ACCC IO Institute
  • Clinical update on the cancer immunotherapy landscape
  • Review of policy issues affecting access and reimbursement for new and emerging therapies
  • Recommendations from the ACCC IO Institute Working Groups on educational opportunities
  • Considerations for survivorship care planning post IO therapy, and more.
