The VP Operations Oncology position is located in Indianapolis, IN. 

Job Duties

The Vice President Operations Oncology provides business oversight and executive leadership to designated services within the product-line, including facilities, security, and support clinical services including radiation, medical and surgical genomics, genetics, transplantation and cellular therapy, screening and diagnostic imaging, pharmacy and infusion therapies. This leader establishes operational standards and outcomes and ensures adherence to applicable state / federal law and regulations. The VP works closely and productively with hospital and regional leaders, network product-line leaders, medical staff, employees, vendors and the public. Reporting to the SVP/President, oncology product line, the VP is a member of the product line Executive Leadership Team and other standing and ad-hoc leadership meeting forums, committees and project teams. 


  • Minimum of seven (7) years of current progressive healthcare leadership experience, functioning organizationally at the department or group practice director level or higher.
  • Successful track record in operations including developing and executing business plans, line responsibilities for clinical services, compliance, performance management and relationship building.
  • Extensive background in performance improvement / LEAN is strongly preferred.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.

  • Communicates effectively in 1:1, small group, and public speaking and is adept at using appropriate presentation formats such as PowerPoint, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Collects and analyzes data involving many variables to make decisions in a timely manner. Thinks critically and can independently resolve problems.
  • Collaborates and builds effective relationships.
  • Works well under pressure and can independently manage time and priorities; thinks strategically and creatively to operationalize network goals.
