Cape Fear Valley Health, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, has retained Cejka Search to recruit an accomplished healthcare leader to serve as the Executive Corporate Director, Oncology Services who, in partnership with dyad Medical Directors, will be responsible for the strategic, financial, operational, and clinical leadership and performance of the Oncology Service Line, which encompasses patients at all owned and managed Cape Fear Valley Heath Cancer Centers.

Located an hour-and-a-half from the coast in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cape Fear Valley Health is the 8th largest health system in the state and serves more than a million patients. Cape Fear Valley Health includes eight hospitals totaling 1,100-beds with Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, a 600-bed hospital, as the flagship facility, as well as over 7,500 employees and 850 physicians providing services to a six-county region in southeastern North Carolina. Cape Fear Valley Health Cancer Centers’ services include radiation oncology, medical oncology, hematology, clinical trials, cancer registry, oncology social work, nutrition, and complimentary medicine. Cape Fear Valley Cancer Treatment & CyberKnife Center is accredited and commended as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center through the American College of Surgeons Commission On Cancer.

The Executive Corporate Director,Oncology Services is a highly visible service line leadership position within Cape Fear Valley Health due to the patient volume, scope of responsibility, and complexity of patient care within the Oncology Services enterprise. As such, Cape Fear Valley Health’s leadership is seeking an experienced, progressive leader to provide the overall strategic leadership for Oncology Services by planning, directing, and organizing services and programs to facilitate seamless patient continuum offering cost-efficient and high quality services. The Execuitive Corporate Director will partner with desginated Medical Directors to advance clinical practices, financial performance, and strategic initiatives to enhance quality, performance, and service and market leadership. Partnering with community providers and employed physicians, the Executive Corporate Director will cultivate a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model that promotes world-class cancer treatment and support for patients from across southeastern North Carolina.

Ideal candidates will possess at least five years of healthcare management experience with responsibility for a multi-site oncology services line’s operational, financial and clinical services. Expertise in physician engagement; staff development; process improvement relating to quality, safety and patient care; and financial management are required. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
