The Sunshine Act: Dispelling Myths

Webinar held October 5, 2011

Myths and misconceptions about the Federal Sunshine Act abound. Beginning January 1, 2012, all pharmaceutical and device manufacturers must report any payments made to health care providers and institutions; as of September 30, 2013, these reports will be made public. The goal is more transparency in relationships between physicians and industry. But what information will these reports contain? And exactly what qualifies as a payment?

Listen to our final State Society Education Series webinar of 2011 to find out how you'll be affected by this law, better understand what activities will be reported, and clarify what is still permissible under the new regulations.

Patient Assistance: Educating and Empowering Cancer Patients and Their Families
Download and Print This Brochure for Patients

This new tool, Patient Assistance: Educating and Empowering Cancer Patients and Their Families, is designed to help you provide your patients with the information they need, even when your resources are limited. Targeted to patients who would benefit from financial assistance, this guide provides an overview of patient assistance programs, including eligibility requirements. It serves as a starting point for patients to begin the application process.

Download and print this brochure—either professionally or in house. Then, hand it out to your patients who could benefit from this information. It may also be used in conjunction with ACCC's Patient Assistance and Reimbursement Programs: A Guide for Community Cancer Centers, which enables you to quickly and easily access and print the forms your patients may need to apply for assistance.
