Your website is being upgraded and an advocacy tab is being created with links to the Indiana Legislature, the governor’s website, the Indiana Department of Health, as well as a link to find out who represents you in the state legislature. The website will be updated frequently with IOS advocacy alerts, upcoming advocacy events, etc.
The website will also have information about state legislation relating to oncology, including a link to the actual legislation, a brief summary, and status of legislation.
Building relationships with other oncology related organizations in the state will be just as important as building relationships with elected officials. Therefore, the website will also include information on other state organizations and what issues are important to them. To help foster relationships, this section might also include relevant meeting notices so members can engage with similar organizations when appropriate.
During the legislative session, ACCC staff will send periodic advocacy alert email updates. These emails will provide legislative updates as well as draft letters and talking points as needed. We will also include key dates for hearings, votes and other important information on relevant bills. IOS members will be also be notified via email of upcoming grassroots events, site visits, and lobby days.
IOS members will also be updated via email of any state regulatory proceedings relevant to the oncology profession. Important dates, as well as draft letters and comments will be shared.
