Cancer Program Narrative Description:

Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Center's mission is to pioneer the way to compassionate and efficient, comprehensive, cutting-edge cancer care. The cancer center seeks to provide its patients with the highest quality, most compassionate care possible in a friendly and supportive environment; one which is sensitive to patients' medical, psychosocial and spiritual needs. The center has a responsibility to the families of its patients to offer education and support groups, and to include them in the treatment process as permitted by the patient. The center's services include diagnosis, chemotherapy treatment, state-of-the-art radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, prostate seed implants, support services, and pain management. In addition, the cancer program includes research studies; stem cell transplantation; clinical trials for breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer; plasmapheresis; and education. Also, the program offers PET, CT, MRI, and X-ray; laboratory services; nutritional counseling.
