ACCC Wins Prestigious Medicine on the Net Web Excellence Award

ROCKVILLE, MD—The Association of Community Cancer Centers has been awarded a 2006 Medicine on the Net Web Excellence Award. The award recognizes and honors exceptional websites. ACCC’s website, www.accc-cancer.org, was honored as “Best User Interface” for its clear overall organization, easy-to-understand organization logic, ease of navigation, and usefulness of search tools.

“We are delighted to be honored with this award from Medicine on the Net,” said ACCC Executive Director Christian Downs, JD, MHA. “Our goal has been to provide our members with easy-to-access online information that they can use in their cancer programs and practices. We invite cancer care professionals to come visit our website at www.accc-cancer.org.”

The 2006 award-winning websites serve as examples of the traits that great websites possess, according to Medicine on the Net. These sites also allow medical organizations and associations the opportunity to glean helpful tips for their own sites.

The 2006 Medicine on the Net Web Excellence Awards are published in the March 2006 edition of Medicine on the Net, a monthly publication of HCPro, Inc.

The Association of Community Cancer Centers provides a national forum for addressing issues that affect community cancer programs, such as regulatory and legislative issues, measurements of the quality of care, and clinical research.
